In the morning I wake up and lay as everyone goes about their day.
All the commuters, they look away. I sense them judging me.
But what business have they?
I saw a stairway that leads down below,
send someone else; I won't go.

There's a reason why I'm crying,
a damn thing stuck on the wall.
Feeds my insecurities,
it just won't leave me alone.
There's no reason to be crying,
it was only a matter of time.
I'm not one to blindly obey,
so I'll drink my heart away.

They say that curiosity killed the cat.
I wonder what it could do to man.
All these moments that we spent asking questions,
could have been time to set them all in motion.
And as we learned, some are best left unanswered.
Probably for the better knowing whose heard.
The dark voice, so calm and reassuring,
spinning lies and hoping we will never learn.

All the lawyers and the butchermen, they're okay.
